Jump-Start Your Summer With Lululemon
It was a long winter. But the sunny days have arrived, and there’s no reason not to look and feel your best this season. That’s where lululemon comes in. Not only does this trailblazing brand carry products designed to support everything from your workouts to your work life, Lululemon also wants to help you improve your overall well-being. We tapped into Andy Geary, store manager of Lululemon at The Shops at Columbus Circle, for his tips on how to jump-start your summer.
Any advice for getting in shape this summer?
When it comes to being fit for summer, you have to ask: What's your commitment to yourself? What's your personal goal and how do you get there? At lululemon’s Columbus Circle location, we offer complimentary yoga on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. On Tuesday nights at 7 p.m., we have Run Club, which goes into Central Park, followed by in-store recovery. It's intended for all levels.
Do you have any other special programming?
This summer, we’ll be launching a marathon-training program with Saturday long runs and a runner's education series. We have a concierge space where we sometimes host brunches and other events (you can get details on our Eventbrite page). There are also complimentary lockers for guests to store their belongings while they use Central Park as a destination for a run (or to go shopping!).
What products are you excited about right now?
There's so much good, juicy stuff. I am a huge fan of lululemon’s Silverescent technology. Our Swiftly and Metal Vent athletic tops are moisture-wicking, ventilated, and body-mapped to keep the places where you sweat the most drier. And they don’t retain any smell when you wash them. My personal favorite is the Pace Breaker, a men's short with a built-in liner and a zipper pocket. For women, the Fast and Free leggings have a cool-to-the-touch fabric, Nulux, and are laser cut at the bottom of the leg so that you don't have any chafing.
What about day-to-day wear?
When you feel good in what you're wearing, it adds to your self-esteem and to your confidence. lululemon’s On the Fly Collection is part of OTC (Office Travel Commute), and it's intended to allow you to live freely and fully but in comfort. It has the technical elements that make our products really special but gives you the every-day comfort that you're used to when you hear the name lululemon.
