Tumbling Brights

Host: Lincoln Square Bid
Dates: December–February

Take a walk up Broadway and catch Tumbling Brights - a temporary lighting installation that begins at 60th street and extends for 10 blocks between Columbus Circle and 70th Street converging in Dante Park. This enchanting illumination features a procession of ethereal figures wrapped in starlight that tumble down and float up Broadway; ten glittering acrobats of the spirit.
These bright tributes to the gravity-defying energy of New Yorkers converge at the statue of Dante Alighieri, newly lit with stellar constellations. Tumbling Brights seeks to convey a sense of hope and resilience, but also of respect and remembrance, and brings a sense of vitality and lightness to Lincoln Square.
