Celebrating Pride in New York City
Pride is here, and New York City is pulling out all the stops in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising. There’s no better place to be than The Shops at Columbus Circle, which is celebrating June Pride Month with everything from colorful treats to special fashion collections, and even a #Lovewall installation by the artist JGoldcrown. It’s going to be a rainbow of experiences.
The seven-layer Rainbow Cake ($6.95 a slice) is back and better than ever at Bouchon Bakery, which serves up this iconic treat every June and donates a portion of the proceeds to support LGBTQ youth.
Diptyque is featuring an Art Deco-inspired limited-edition New York City candle ($74) that will be wrapped in Pride colors and only sold in six select stores, including — lucky for us — the Columbus Circle location.
Discover sweets at Sugarfina that will brighten your day and give back: 100% of proceeds from select rainbow candies will be donated to GLAAD, which is helping rewrite the script for LGBTQ acceptance.
J.Crew is putting love first with a range of rainbow-splashed T-shirts for Pride and donating 50% of the purchases to the Human Rights Campaign. From June 28 to 30, the store will also be giving out free Pride parade gear.
M•A•C Cosmetics is serving up rainbow realness for Pride with colorful makeup for lips, eyes, and face, as well as a limited-edition glitter collection in a kaleidoscopic of shades that stands loud and proud for love.
Bluebird London is getting into the spirit with a colorful Stonewall Cocktail ($15) and a Rainbow Bluebird Cookie ($3). A percentage of the proceeds will go to the Trevor Project, which is focused on suicide prevention among LGBTQ youth.
Stay true, stay you with the #HMPride collection at H&M, which celebrates love, equality, and togetherness. For every item purchased, 10% of the sales will support the United Nations' Free & Equal campaign.
