Rose Hall is comprised of three unique performances venues, Rose Theatre, a 1,200 person seated concert hall; The Allen Room, an audience style venue offering a beautiful view of the city; and Dizzy's Club Coco-Cola, a 140 person seated jazz club. In addition to offering on of a kind entertainment, Jazz at Lincoln Center has an active mission to educate the public on the art of jazz. The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) opens its new home at 2 Columbus Circle on September 27, 2008. Five floors and over 54,000 square feet of gallery space will be exclusively dedicated to MAD’s growing permanent collection, an exhibition gallery for contemporary jewelry, open artist studios that allow visitors to watch the creative process and a wide-range of lectures, films, artists talks and workshops for the whole family.
MAD collects, displays, and interprets objects that document contemporary and historic innovation in craft, art, and design. In its exhibitions and educational programs, the Museum celebrates the creative process through which materials are crafted into works that enhance contemporary life.
