Our go-to nail polish brand at the spa is OPI – its luster and color lasts longer than any other we’ve tried, without chipping. And for at-home touch-ups or last-minute color changes, we’re head-over-heels in love with OPI’s Sephora offshoot.
We swung by our favorite beauty wonderland at The Shops the other day, and picked up a bevy of season-appropriate shades that will keep us on trend well into the winter months – and we thought we’d share some of our favorite fashion tricks.
BERRY VIVID
It’s all about the deep purples, magentas and indigos this season – and what better way to off-set your rapidly fading summer tan (see also: gorgeous Snow White-like complexion) than with these pretty pink shimmery shades?
BALLET CHIC
These almost-nudes are a subtle, classic way to compliment any look, and if you want to spice things up a bit, grab the same color in both matte and sparkle, then paint over one of your fingers with the glitter.
OMBRE BOLD
Convert one of the hottest colors from Fashion Week (Richard Chai even painted his models’ lips blue) into a dynamic statement – buy three shades of blue (or any color group you prefer) and paint your pinky and ring finger the darkest, your middle and pointer finger the medium and your thumb the lightest.
DAY-TO-NIGHT MOD
Our go-to alternative to harsh, goth-like black is a shade of taupe or grey – it’s neutral enough to go with any outfit while still being office-appropriate. But, when offset by evening wear it converts, chameleon-like, to a gorgeous, modern sheen.
